by Vibhuti Gupta, Monday, March 12, 2018

Cinema is a young person’s dream. It’s quite possible that a lion-share of the Indian population has dreamed of making, or starring in a film at one point or another.

This article is not limited to the new-age youngsters but includes the directors who made it big at a very young age, when such things were hardly considered feasible which making their achievements all the more significant.

Aditya Chopra

He made his Bollywood debut with the evergreen 1995 blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge at the age of 24. He gave the world a new meaning of romance and love by Raj and Simran!

Farhan Akhtar

He’s known these days more as an actor than a director. But no one can forget his delightfully fresh take on friendship in his debut film Dil Chahta Hai, at the age of 24. His further directorial ventures included the Hrithik Roshan's Lakshya and the remake of Don.

Karan Johar

After assisting his friend Aditya Chopra in his debut movie, Karan Johar made his debut in 1998 with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, at the tender age of 24. The crispy new take on friendship and true love still remains to be everyone's favorite.

Sooraj Barjatya

At a young age of 25, Sooraj entered the industry with a massive romantic hit, Maine Pyar Kiya starring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree. Perhaps, it was the director’s young age at the time which lent that movie an irresistible charm which had the whole nation falling in love with it, not to mention the role of the kabooter as an emissary of love.

Siddharth Anand

He signed a three-film contract with Yash Raj Films, which began with Salaam Namaste. A romantic comedy for the new age, the film was well- received by the audience and gave a much-needed hit for Saif Ali Khan. Anand’s repertoire also includes the massively expensive though unsuccessful Hrithik Roshan starrer, Bang Bang.

We are grateful for these creative minds for giving Bollywood some of the major blockbusters!
