Bhavesh Joshi Superhero Movie Review: Nepotism destroys yet-another good story!

by Unik Dhandhi, Friday, June 01, 2018

Finally the much-awaited desi-superhero movie, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero hits the theatres and everyone is talking about Vikramaditya Motwane's fine direction. As per the trailer suggested, the movie is about a young man who becomes a vigilante after the sudden demise of one of his close friends.

Vikramaditya Motwane's directorial is a superhero movie which beautifully shows the capabilities of a common man dwelling in a corrupt society. However, we are not sure whether Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan Kapoor does justice to his role as Bhavesh Joshi in the movie or not.

Neither can he fly, nor does he have any supernatural powers but Bhavesh Joshi's story will surely engage you during the first-half of the movie. Just two-movie-old Harshvardhan Kapoor plays the lead character along with Priyanshu Painyuli and Ashish Verma who play the role of his college mates cum friends.

After witnessing the increasing criminal activity in their neighbourhood, these three friends begin helping the neighbourhood. Harshvardhan and Painyului's characters start taking this whole 'vigilante' thing a lot more seriously which ends with Priyanshu's character's death.

Later in the second half, Bhavesh aka Harshvardhan is left with a choice to either to go hard or go home. And guess what? Bhavesh decides upon going hard against injustice and corrupt officials. During his journey from a graduate to a superhero, a whole series of events take place which really brings out the best of its story. Director Vikramaditya Motwane along with co-writers Anurag Kashyap Abhay Koranne made one hell of a team.

Mind-blowing narration and to-the-point editing made Bhavesh Joshi Superhero a one-time watch where the lead, Harshvardhan failed to make his mark on the BO.

We suggest you to consider Motwane'sBhavesh Joshi Superhero movie a one time-watch and nothing more than that. As far the rating is concerned, we are proud to give this movie 6 out of 10 stars for its fine script and sensible direction.
