Chinese assault-rifles will shoot lasers instead of bullets!

From star Wars to Swat-Cats; laser has been a prominent part of the arms and ammunition department of sci-fi cartoons and movies. However, laser-guns failed to impress assassins in the real-life.
A Chinese company has however, confirmed developing a laser AK-47 which will be shooting lasers instead of bullets. The company also claims that 'laser AK-47' can burn targets in a fraction of a second from a half a mile away.
'Laser AK-47' or the ZKZM-500, is similar in size and weight to that of an ordinary assault rifle. The ZKZM-500 is capable of firing hundreds of shots in one go which is sufficient for melting human skin. one of the researchers also added that the pain will be beyond endurance-level of a human being.
The logical explanation behind the working of laser weaponry is that the laser shot from the weapon will carry sufficient heat for damaging the human tissues. Laser weapons are powered by parallel arrays of batteries which create sufficient heat for damaging the targets.
As per our reports, the guns are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. And also, full-charged batteries can shot up to 1000 shots (each lasting for 2 sec). However, the specified weapon is just a prototype for now.
But the time is not far away when anti-terrorist squads will be protecting the masses by melting terrorists. The laser project is currently taking place in Xian Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Will laser guns be as practical and helpful for the army than the average guns? We will have to wait until the right time comes. Stay tuned for more technology related updates.
