The Best of Amazon India Fashion Week a/w 2017- Day 1

Fashion Shows are always a big hit anywhere in the world. And when it's AIFW, it is bound to be good. Day 1 of Amazon India Fashion Week autumn/winter 2017 was a gorgeous display of amalgamations of India’s heritage- handloom.
One should always dress like there is no tomorrow.
The entire show focused on the relevance of this indigenous craft in the modern fashion industry and towards transforming it into sustainable businesses. The Handloom School of Maheshwar in collaboration with nine designers supported by luxury retailer Good Earth showcased a culturally affluent but modern collection of garments made entirely handwoven. It featured labels like Akaaro by Gaurav Jai Gupta, Antar Agni, Ekà, Good Earth, Neeru Kumar, Nicobar, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rohit Bal and Péro. The Best of Amazon India Fashion Week aw 2017- Day 1 ‘Back to Work’ by Abraham & Thakore was a work wear collection comprised of modern Indian silhouettes tailored for work wear. The Best of Amazon India Fashion Week aw 2017- Day 1 Vogue India in celebration of its 10th anniversary, India curated its first ever show- ‘Sari 24/7’ along with 60 designers including Manish Malhotra, Anita Dongre, AM:PM and many more. The show kicked off with The Stage judge Monica Dongra, singing in a beautiful white sari and showcased a collection that was a mix of unique drapes- modern and traditional. The Best of Amazon India Fashion Week aw 2017- Day 1 Jharcraft presented an impressive line-up of designers Shaina NC, Rina Dhaka, Dabiri and Pinnacle by Shrutti Sancheti. It featured innovatively draped saris in, white-and-metallic lehengas, long jackets and anarkalis, striped separates with tassled details and more. The Best of Amazon India Fashion Week aw 2017- Day 1 Krishna Mehta was an elegant affair of rich fabrics in vibrant hues, ombré separates, long skirts, patchwork and stencil print lehengas.
