Designer Sabyasachi’s Kolkotta home is where he gets inspiration from

by TIMC Monday, March 06, 2017

Considered one of the finest fashion designers in India, Sabyasachi Mukherjee is also designing lifestyles in his very own home. In its latest collaboration, Pottery Barn tapped the 43-year-old designer one of India’s foremost couturiers. This is in reference to his line of artistic bedding, tableware, and decorative objects in his collection so far.
Sabyasachi’s home is an accurate reflection of the person he is.
A few months ago, Architectural Digest shared some stunning pictures taken at the designer’s home. And, now, we get how every Sabyasachi creation can be unique and one of a kind.

Functional Space

Designer Sabyasachi’s Kolkotta home is where he gets inspiration from The open kitchen features distressed wood cabinets, white porcelain and blue tiles. We see a lot of Sabyasachi in the context of his fashion brand, but hardly for his personal life. Therefore, his precise detailing in his clothes can be a hint to the charismatic outlay of his abode.

Travelling Entry

An ivory traditional lamp hangs from the white ceiling. Marble, granite and plaster make up the staircase leading to the flat.

Style Statement

Living Antique

A Room of One’s Own

Sense of Longing

Designer Sabyasachi’s Kolkotta home is where he gets inspiration from An old but neat dressing table is surrounded by potted plants. For a reason, the designer’s expectations were probably set long ago in  his childhood. The seating area on the terrace has a writing desk that doubles up as a beautiful dining table. Sabyasachi stores were a starting point for the designer’s impending career diversion. Last year, he designed a suite at 51 Buckingham Gate Hotel in London, and now he plans to do more public spaces.
