by Richa Dhingra, Thursday, March 29, 2018

Oh my god. She’s so lucky. Thousands of people love this surreal dream of re-living the iconic DDLJ moments. The sexy siren Mallika Sherawat got to live this beautiful moment.

Mallika is a self-confessed DDLJ fan.

She was recently spotted on the streets of Amsterdam. Mallika happened to visit the tulip fields where some portions of the movie were shot. And luckily, she somehow created her own version of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995) starring superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol

“Ever since I watched Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, I fell in love with the film and its exotic locations. It had always been my dream to take a stroll down the tulip fields showcased in the film. I’m glad that I finally headed there for real, and got to experience its beauty,” she said.

However, she frequented Amsterdam due to work reasons as she was to visit the headquarters of an NGO with whom she has been associated since many years now. Nevertheless, when questioned whether she’d love to be a part of the legendary movie’s remake, she said, “No. Not really.”

Mallika has acted in superhit movies like Pyaar Ke Side Effects (2006), Welcome (2007), and Dirty Politics (2015), feels that a film like DDLJ should remain original sans a remake. “I think a film as iconic as that shouldn’t be remade. Since it’s a classic, I feel the original one is and will always be the best film ever made,” she quipped.
