Rajkummar Rao to be seen opposite Shraddha Kapoor in a horror comedy

On one hand, we have the actor who literally owned 2017 with his amazing performances, with films like Trapped, Bareilly Ki Barfi and Newton. On the other hand, we have the Bollywood diva who had more of a rough 2017 with movies like Half Girlfriend and Haseena Parkar. Yes, we are talking about Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor because they will be sharing the silver screen in Dinesh Vijan's upcoming horror comedy.

Bollywood has found a new love for horror comedy after Golmaal Again's success.

The film is written by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have earlier teamed up for films like, A Gentleman (2017), Go Goa Gone (2013) and Shor in the City (2011).

Rajkummar Rao took to Twitter to announce his new film with Shraddha Kapoor. The yet untitled film will probably go on floors in January 2018.

He tweeted, “Super excited to be part of out-of-the-box, raucous horror-comedy! With the super amazing @ShraddhaKapoor. Collaborating with my awesome producer #Dinoo @MaddockFilms, the coolest & quirky duo Raj & DK @krishdk & national award-winning @amarkaushik. Can’t wait to begin.”

On a related note, Rajkummar Rao has been in the film industry for the past 7 years, and in such a short span of time, he has already won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his work in 2013’s Shahid. Moreover, he was seen in AltBalaji’s web series Bose: Dead/Alive saw Rajkummar playing Subhas Chandra Bose and his performance was simply outstanding. Shraddha is currently working in Saaho opposite Baahubali fame, Prabhas.
