'A cop without a case, a criminal without a code, a cat-and-mouse chase and a city under crisis,' the trailer of Netflix's first Indian original series, Sacred Games just dropped in and we couldn't have expected any better. Helmed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, the series features Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte.

The series is based on Vikram Chandra’s novel of the same name

The one-minute and thirty-four-second-long trailer opens with Nawazuddin challenging Saif to save his city from an emergency, unknown. Saif, being a cop is not able to understand the warning but soon begins to decipher his caller’s words only to find an upcoming catastrophe. Set in the ever-changing background of Mumbai, the series is the story of glamour, grit and betrayal.

The official synopsis of the series says, Sacred Games follows the riveting journey of Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan), a seasoned, cynical police officer, and Anjali Mathur (Radhika Apte), an intelligence officer, to the centre of a mysterious web woven the powerful criminal overlord, Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui).

However there have been many crime dramas which revolve around the underworld and police, let's see what does Sacred Games has to offer.
