Sudhir Mishra expresses his views on nepotism

by Unik Dhandhi, Friday, June 08, 2018

Sudhir Mishra, the Indian film director and screenwriter conveys his point of view on the never-ending debate of Nepotism in Bollywood. He holds the idea that nepotism is widespread, but it doesn't stop the outsiders from making their own name in the film industry.

Sudhir Mishra is known for directing films like: Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Dharavi.

In a recent interview, the director stated that, “It is okay that the star kids are getting better launchpads, but that can’t stop outsiders from creating their base in the industry. Look at Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Huma Qureshi or Deepika Padukone — all of them are not from the industry yet they’ve been doing so well. And this has been the way with things for long now.”

The director, who nearly has an experience of 30 years in the film industry now, said, “For me, the film’s story is of prime importance, rest comes in later. Also, whoever has talent and is ready to work hard must get the opportunity to showcase their talent. Tell me what’s wrong with Alia Bhatt or Ranbir Kapoor. Both are terrific actors, so they should be getting to do good films,” he adds holding his view on the importance of the skills of an actor rather than their star value.Follow our Bollywood Magazine For Latest Bollywood News and Gossips.
