Traffic law is one of the most important government organizations of our nation. As we all are already well-aware of the fact that traffic police protect our vehicles from colliding by setting several norms and regulations which is mandatory for everyone to follow.

With great power, comes great responsibility.

But let us remind you, traffic rules are not just about following the red light or putting seat belts on. In our country, India which has a massive population, citizens have started to blindly follow the herd instead knowing the purpose of the traffic rules. Therefore, here is a list of some wicked Indian traffic rules as per The Motor Vehicle Act which you surely didn't knew along with the purpose of these restrictions:

Parking Rule

As per the Motor Vehicle Act, if you are stuck in a parking lot because someone parked his vehicle right in front of your exit, you can call the cops and that driver would have to pay a fine of Rs 100.

Purpose- This law ensure that no inconvenience is caused to any driver by others.

No-Horn Challan

According to the law, not having a functioning horn in your car may get you in trouble. The law says if a car is on-road without a horn to warn the other drivers on road, a fine of Rs 100 can be slapped on the driver.

Purpose- A car horn plays a very important role in alerting as well as somewhat communicating with the driver of a nearby vehicle which is essential for safe driving.

First-Aid must!

In Chennai and Kolkata, if a driver can't get his or her passenger first aid in case of an accident, he or she may land in jail for three months or pay a fine of Rs 500.

Purpose- First aid should be a part of every driver's basic kit or accessories so that the chances of death can be prevented in case of a major accident.

No-Smoke Challan

In Delhi-NCR, smoking inside the car attracts a fine of Rs 100 as per the Motor Vehicle Act of India.

Purpose- Smoking is injurious to health as well as proved to be a distraction for drivers while driving.

Multimedia Challan

In Mumbai, installing a TV or any video device on your dashboard is considered to be a punishable offence. A fine of Rs 100 can be slapped on the violator

Purpose- Any multimedia console which has a visual on it may distract the driver at one point or other.

In today's world where there are at least 10 crore vehicles on the road currently, driving is not merely a transportation medium but a responsibility in itself. Therefore, drive carefully and follow all the set of rules and regulations provided in The Motor Vehicle Act of our constitution.
